I wanted to jazz up this black widow painting, so I added some colorful highlights to the spider, and used bright colors in the background wash.  The original measures 5 x7, and is done on 300gsm, 100% cotton Winsor Newton watercolor paper.  The original comes shipped in a black-rimmed floating frame.
